168. That is how many hours each and every one of us is given each week.
According to the American Time Use Survey, the average person spends about 60.9 hours a week working, 53.9 hours sleeping, 7 hours eating, 7.7 hours doing household activities, 17.5 hours engaged in leisure activites and sports, and 9.1 hours caring for others. If my math is correct, that leaves roughly 11.9 hours unaccounted for each week.
What if I told you that if you spent just 1 hour of your total hours each week doing one particular thing it would help you 100% in every area of your life. Would you do it? Would you take one of your 11.9 hours left unaccounted for in your week and engage in this activity?
You may have already guessed that I am speaking about meditation. I have begun an event I call Monday Meditations With Richa that has been growing in popularity. These weekly meditations have allowed me to meet with people from all over the world in a global meditation room where we can share this sacred space in order to deliberately and consciously begin our week in a place of power, healing, and peace. This has been one of the most amazing events I have ever had a chance to be a part of, and I am hoping that each and every one of you will join me on March 30th for our next session.
Why is it important to meditate, especially on Monday? I have heard so many people on social media complain about the “Monday blues”, posting images of tired, grumpy cartoon people with huge cups of coffee dragging themselves to work each Monday. I’m here to tell you, it doesn’t have to be that way. Each Monday is an opportunity for a new start. I speak frequently about letting go, leaving the past mistakes and hurts behind us and starting anew. THAT is what I belive Mondays should be all about. You are given a brand new 168 hours to consciously create happiness, success, and bliss in your life…why not begin by reclaiming your connection to your inner being, releasing those things in your life that no longer serve your higher purpose, and focusing your thoughts on manifesting the things in your life that you want to accomplish? Each Monday is when you should look at yourself in the mirror and say, “Today is the start of a new week, and I am stepping into my power and passion for life.”
You are a powerful, passionate spark in this Universe. Your life wasn’t meant to be put up with or suffered through. You are here to live your life’s purpose. I invite you to join me on this journey each Monday and together we can clear and cleanse our inner beings, begin to heal on a deeper level, pause and reflect on those things that serve our higher purpose, and renew our power to create success and abundance in our lives.
Won’t you join me?
